La Maquina Amarilla

LA MAQUINA AMARILLA has been around for years playing its very distinctive Cuban style of Salsa. Originally formed in Milan Italy, the group has its roots in Cuban and Latin fused rhythms.

The ensemble was founded by percussionist, Michele Bazzani of Tuscany.

After studying with the likes of Rogelio Alvares,Jose louis Montiel, and Alfredo Quinones, Bazzani formed La Maquina Amarilla and immediately began touring local venues in Milan(Havana cafe') and throughout Northern Italy.

With the help of Cuban singer Clodoaldo Parada, new and oirginal arrangements were conceived and the band became a tight unit with an amazing sound.

In 2002, Bazzani left Italy for New York, to find ways to broaden the scope of the band's playlist as well as venues.

With bassist, Lorenzo Rodriguez and lead singer Osmay Calvo and Gilberto Velasquez, dominican pianist Adan Perez, percussionist Raphael Sanchez and Bazzani, the sound of La Maquina Amirilla has grown to be one of the most sought after and amazing sounds a Latin quintet can offer.

The group frequents venues around Manhattan and it's 5 boroughs, including Sofrito, Lazaro's Restaurant, Club 250, Soul II Soul, Super Fine, Pedro's, Gonzales Y Gonzales, Victor cafe' and Ache de Cuba, with side trips to New Jersey, Washington D.C., Miami, Boston and San Francisco.

This live sound has captured many hearts and followers and La Maquina Amarilla keeps on going stronger than ever.
